Valentine's Day

Not only was this our first Valentine's Day as husband and wife, but this was also our first Valentine's Day together! We decided we wanted to avoid the crowds and save some money so instead of going out to a fancy smancy restaurant we decided to pick up some Chipotle and eat in the comfort of our home.

I made some red velvet brownies (recipe found on Pinterest) with a cream cheese filling on top (recipe found out of magazine subscription given as a gift from Carol Smith). I cut the brownies into heart shapes (using a cookie cutter, gift from Marilyn Judd). They turned out pretty yummy!

Ryan gave me a small wooden wheel barrel and some flowers to plant in the yard (tulips, hyacinth, and a calla lily). I made him a deck of cards containing 52 reasons why I love him.

Overall, I'd say it was a pretty successful Valentine's Day.
