Island Paradise

I've been waiting for the wedding pictures to write the entry about the wedding... We're three weeks down and one more to go! So, in the mean time I'll write about some of the things we did while in Maui...

It was pretty cool to see the whales in all their glory. They are huge!

Aside from some good finds (swim trunks, flip flops, and cool hats) it's safe to say one of the best parts of shopping was the shaved ice! We also ran into a bunch of birds that couldn't keep themselves off of us.

The luau provided a lot of good scenery. The food wasn't as bad as some people claimed. This was one of the times that we got to spend with family and friends.

For me this meant digging my toes in the sand, playing chicken with the waves, and writing in the sand. For Ryan this meant reading and occasionally getting in the water.

We both agree that what we miss the most is getting up each morning and taking a stroll on the beach.

  1. So much to say on this one! I love your hat! I need a good sun hat but I don't know how to pick one out that will look cute. I need your help! I also love your teal blue tank top in the shopping picture!

You married a reader?!?! That's awesome! What was he reading (and do you still not like to?)?

I miss morning beach walks too! It's one of my best memories from our trip. When we went to Cancun we did beach runs because we were in the middle of Couch to 5K. I don't miss those :)

    1. Thanks! I tried on a couple different hats before I found that one. The teal blue tank top is actually a sundress. I pretty much only wore sundresses while in Hawaii. :) When I went back to work I felt so over dressed.

He's currently reading 2 different series, and is about to start reading The Hunger Games. I don't dislike reading, I just never had time to read while at UC Davis. With all the reading they give you as a Soc major, it's hard to find the time to read a book on your own leisure.

      Beach walks are awesome. :)
